Woman of Color

While its all good to celebrate black woman empowerment l can not help but wonder if we are fully empowered. Was just following the recent story making headlines about Donald Trump's tweet and how everyone has something to say but if we take a back sit will see that we are no different from him. What's "woman of color' if l may ask its either you are black or white there is no other color used so why do we have to tag and reduce a person to a color.
Channeling my inner Lady Gaga moment 'there is nothing wrong with loving who you are' cause you were born that way so if we start saying woman of color its like we are ashamed or something. We should be able to own and love who we are as individuals before society can own us unless we are comfortable being 'woman of color' then l say wow we are making a mark finally but at what expense really.
